Psychedelic Therapy Sydney

Therapy to assist with the integration of psychedelic experiences.

Integration Therapy.

A psychedelic trip can be among the most profound experiences it is possible for a human to have.

Many people encounter past memories, new perspectives, and dimensions of consciousness they did not previously know to exist. While these encounters can be incredibly meaningful and engender great healing, they can also be confusing, or even scary and traumatic.

Many people find themselves feeling greatly disoriented as they try to assimilate their experience into their ordinary state of consciousness.

As the public becomes increasingly familiar with the research into psychedelic compounds, and the enormous promise they demonstrate for the treatment of mental health issues, interest is rapidly growing.

This has especially been propelled by the popularity of Michael Pollan’s book, How to Change Your Mind and the associated Netflix series of the same name.

It is my guess that a large number of visitors to this site have come across these works and are curious to learn more.

Psychedelics.

Unfortunately, not every experience with psychedelics is positive.

Challenging experiences, or so-called “bad trips”, can occur when a person is not adequately prepared for their experience, when they do not feel safe in the setting the experience occurs, or when their fear takes hold and they fight to resist the effects of the drug.

While not all bad trips have negative outcomes, a certain proportion of people find themselves struggling after a challenging experience.

Bad Trips.

“Psychedelics are illegal not because a loving government is concerned that you may jump out of a third-story window. Psychedelics are illegal because they dissolve opinion structures and culturally laid down models of behavior and information processing. They open you up to the possibility that everything you know is wrong.” — Terence McKenna
