Additional Training:

As a therapist, I am passionately driven to find the most effective ways of assisting people in the process of overcoming psychological difficulties that are impacting their quality of life. I believe that psychological experiences can not be understood in isolation, and that attention must be given to the contexts in which they arise. For this reason, I have gravitated towards evidence-based therapies that take a non-pathologising approach, and steer clear of diagnostic labels. This allows me to understand the struggles that many people experience as one human being to another, instead of interpreting them through the detached lens of clinical disorder. However, I am very aware of, and sometimes frustrated by, the limited efficacy of traditional psychological and pharmaceutical interventions for some individuals and circumstances.

I have been closely watching the emerging research on Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy over many years, and the science has persuaded me that this modality, with appropriate therapeutic support, has the potential to give hope to many for whom traditional treatment options offer no relief. I have also been fortunate to travel to countries where these medicines are legal, and have participated in ceremonies involving a range of different psychedelic compounds, so can relate to the nature of these journeys from personal experience.

Outside of integration therapy, I work with couples and families to assist with relationship issues, and also have an interest in working with individuals who are experiencing difficulties with anxiety.
